FAQ

  • Where is the drop off and pick up located?

Our meeting spot is at Stanley Park, near lost lagoon.
Families can meet us there each morning for drop-off and return to the same spot for pick-up.

  • Is it necessary for my child to be potty trained to join this program?

No need to worry about potty training! We support every stage, from diapers to pull-ups to learning the toilet, and make sure each child feels confident and comfortable along the way.

  • What kind of clothes should my child wear?

Dress your child in comfortable, weather-ready clothes that can get messy. Layers work best: breathable base, warm mid-layer, and waterproof outerwear. Sturdy boots or comfy shoes depending on the season, plus hats and mittens or sun hats as needed. Don’t forget a full change of clothes in their bag!

  • What does a typical day look like at Lagunitas?

    Stanley Park as our classroom

Morning Welcome – big smiles, greetings, and a circle to start our day together
Exploring & Playing – climbing, digging, building, creating, and discovering the wonders of nature
Snack Time – refueling our bodies and sharing stories with friends
Adventures & Activities – nature walks, group games, art, songs, and imaginative play
Lunch Picnic – eating together outdoors (our favorite part!)
Closing Circle – a gentle reflection, a song, and getting ready for pick-up

  • What should my child bring?

Each adventure calls for a backpack your child can carry, lunch and snacks, a filled water bottle, a full change of clothes with extra socks, a wet bag for messy clothes, and diapers/wipes if needed. You might also add sunscreen, a hat, or extra layers for the weather.

  • How does Lagunitas ensure the parks are safe for the program each day?

Each location is evaluated in advance to ensure it meets the needs of our program. Safety is a top priority at Lagunitas and is taken very seriously.
Our educators conduct site checks to confirm the park is safe for use. If they notice anything concerning, they promptly report it by calling 311 or notifying the park rangers.
